In conjunction with Beyond the Label, NHDC "The Challenge", participants will submit their dance videos online and the Top 10 finalists will advance straight to the LIVE rounds NHDC "Idol" competition. This will be held at The Republic Cultural Centre (TRCC), Republic Polytechnic held in 2021 (date tbc).
The 10 finalists will also win attractive prizes and be awarded a certificate for their respective achievements. On top of that, the top 3 will receive a cash prize befitting of their placement.
This campaign is aimed at educating youth about the stigma associated with mental illness, and in the process reduce social and self stigma, as well as promote mental health advocacy. More often than we would expect, mental health conditions are proliferant in many of us, including dancers and performing artistes.
Dance has a way to empower our lives with music and movement healing us from the constant stress of our everyday life, whether we are adults or youth. This campaign has struck a chord with both Urban Steps and Hitmaker Global Academy.
